Hi Danzhu: 是的，我最后那段话也是这个意思。Java和asp.net在企业界占主流的原因是在于几个大企业阵营对市场的争夺（也是你说的用户群不同），归根到底还是商业利益。基于开源的语言是没有它们背后强大的宣传营销的力量的。另外关于语言的发展前景，严重推荐这篇文章谨作参考 :-P

虽然我也觉得Java的部署是太烦了，但要说成功的java网站寥寥无几是有点不公允的，也许两者面向的用户群不同吧，至少在自己接触过的政府、金融和大企业网站里，还是相当大比例用Java的甚至远高于asp.net，而印象中反而只寥寥几家用php，当然个人站点和IT类站点情况不一样些。

Yes, Python the language is very expressive and probably better than PHP in a number of areas, list, and kwargs just for example, and most critics on PHP are inconsistent naming of functions and lack of namespace support, and some lacking areas compared to Python etc, but so long I can use it to get tasks done, I am happy about it.

Anyway, love for programming languages is not mutually exclusive :-)
